Days of Faith 28
I think each of the past the 28 days I’ve been shedding my ego armor and picking up the armor of Christ. I think one of my main fights during these past days is dealing with social media.
I got back on mainly to promote a show I’m doing next Tuesday.
After I had posted something I went back to check my messages and noticed my energy began to shift. Nothing bad happened but I began to ask myself questions like.
Why am I checking who liked this picture and why does it matter?
- To see which of my friends is rocking with me
- To see who’s interested in my music
- To see what new connects I can make
Why these things don’t matter.
Well actions in the physical world show which friends are really rocking with you or not, If I make great music it doesn’t matter who’s interested as long as a continue to make great stuff and divine connections are incomparable to any connection I have attempted to make myself.
When I do these things I’m submitting my power to people.
You know I remember googling some new financial podcast to listen to because when I get rich I wanted to learn more on better ways I could handle money.
I randomly came across this podcast called “Bad with Money” with Gaby Dunn.
I didn’t know who she was but apparently, she used to work with BuzzFeed and is poppin on social media.
I one episode she basically explains how she puts in countless hours creating and promoting these videos for the internet.
She talks about how every time she does a sponsored video how shes extremely affected when her fans call her a sellout and how her 400k followers are amounting to little or no financial gains.
I just remember thinking during the whole podcast like, I’m sure glad I’m on a different operating system and I know that I no longer have to work in self-effort anymore.
30-33 “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out…..” (Matthew 6:30-33)
